Make a PDF small enough to attach

“Attachment too large” usually means the file is over your email service’s limit. Gmail, Outlook.com and Yahoo Mail allow 25 MB, iCloud Mail and the classic Outlook app 20 MB, and many work accounts less. Aim under 20 MB and your PDF attaches almost anywhere; pick 10 MB for a strict work inbox. pdfconva finds the best quality that fits — re-compressing photos and scans and leaving text sharp and selectable — and it all happens in your browser, so the document never leaves your device.

  • Your files stay on your device

Compress PDF for email runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded — not the file, not even its name.

  • Free, with no sign-up

No account, no watermark on your files and no daily limit for normal use.

  • Up to 20 files at once

Each file can be up to 100 MB. Large or scanned files simply take a little longer.

  • Works on every device

Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android, in any modern browser. Nothing to install.

Good to know

Gmail: 25 MB. Outlook.com: 25 MB. Yahoo Mail: 25 MB for all attachments together. iCloud Mail: 20 MB (bigger files go by Mail Drop). The classic Outlook desktop app: 20 MB for Outlook.com and Gmail accounts, and 10 MB by default for work (Exchange) accounts. The limit covers everything in the message, so leave a little room.

Under 20 MB fits every big email service. Choose 10 MB if you’re sending to or from a work account, or if you’re attaching several files to one email.

Long scans can be hard to shrink far. Split it into two emails with Split PDF, or send only the pages that matter with Extract pages.

Each file can be up to 100 MB, and you can add up to 20 files at once. Large or scanned files simply take a little longer.
